Love playing in the MUD?
We do too! – And so did 60 kids at Raglan Area School recently.
As part of our Maunga ki te Moana Environmental Education program we work together with schools and community groups and explore the diverse range of environments that are literally in our backyard.
Together with Whaingaroa Environment Centre – we joined the Area School kids on their class room camping trip held on the peninsula and we enjoyed an afternoon in the sun and estuary to find and learn about a whole bunch of amazing kritters – giant polychaetes and a wide range of mud crabs and shells. We were amazed at the diversity that was there – and the kids especially enjoyed the search.
Thank you Kelly Clarkson and Tania Ashman for the amazing photos!
